Stroop Test: Please click here to download and practice the Stroop Test prior to the workshop.
To install:
• Left click on link above and "Save" file to your desktop.
• Go to this folder and right click on it. Select “winzip” in the list and then “extract to folder C:\Documents and Settings\"folder name"..... – this should be the third choice in the list. If you don't have WinZip software on your computer, select "Extract All".
• Upon completion of step 2, double left click on the new folder.
• Now double left click on ‘Stroop Research Version.exe” to begin the test.
Follow the instructions.
You will see one of three words: red green or blue. The word will be written in one of three colours: red, blue, or green.
Please follow these instructions:
If the word has a box drawn around it, press the key that matches the meaning of the word that is on the screen.
If a word does not have a box drawn around it, press the key that matches the physical color of the word on the screen.
For your responses:
- the "F" key = Red
- the "G" key = Green
- the "H" key = Blue
Example:
- If the word GREEN appears in the color red, the correct response would be red.
- If the word BLUE appears in the colour green with a box around it, the correct response would be blue.
